Lane Rebels and Harriet Beecher Stowe Film Seeks Support
The cast of a new abolitionist docudrama that was being filmed at the Stowe House in late February welcomed local people to watch the filming and learn about their project. Len and I stopped by the Stowe house and met the cast of this exciting drama about the Lane Seminary Debates which started a national discussion to abolish slavery at a time when the idea of colonization was popular with white abolitionists. It also focuses on the writing of Uncle Tom’s Cabin and Harriet Beecher Stowe.
The production company of Sons and Daughters of Thunder has started a campaign to raise money so that this film can get finished and distributed at: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/sons-daughters-of-thunder. Read more about this project at their website:
