Kemper kept this valentine she received from\u00a0Benjamin Harrison in 1851 when he was a student at Miami University. \u00a0Two years later he married Dr. Scott’s daughter, Caroline Scott whom he had met when he was a student at Farmers’ College and she lived with her father in Mt. Healthy, where Dr. Scott was a professor at Famers’ College. \u00a0Benjamin went on to become president of the US and Caroline the first lady.
